Frankfurt am Main, Germany, August 11, 2011 – NAMCO BANDAI Partners Germany is set to continue its successful collaboration with BRAINPOOL, and has again acquired the rights to the video game of the award-winning TV show "Schlag den Raab". The Frankfurt computer and video games publisher is already planning the second part of the successful show with BRAINPOOL Artist & Content Services GmbH, who are responsible for licensing. NAMCO BANDAI Partners Germany and co-publisher bitComposer Games will release the game for Nintendo WiiTM, PC, PlayStation® 3 and Nintendo 3DSTM in 2011.
Frieder Bartussek, Marketing Director at NAMCO BANDAI Partners Germany, commented on the renewed joint venture: "After the massive success of the predecessor, "Schlag den Raab" with 100,000 units sold on Nintendo Wii, we are really looking forward to releasing the successor on multiple platforms. We're confident that "Schlag den Raab – Das 2. Spiel" will recapture the unique atmosphere of the TV show even better than the first game, and will again bring the fun direct into the player's living room."
Ingrid Langheld, Managing Director of BRAINPOOL Artist & Content Services GmbH, explained: "The partnership with NAMCO BANDAI Partners Germany produced a great hit, so it was only natural that we would again turn to the expertise and experience of the Frankfurt publisher for the next title. We're convinced that "Schlag den Raab – Das 2. Spiel" will even surpass its predecessor in terms of game fun and atmosphere."
The license to "Schlag den Raab – Das 2. Spiel" was awarded to NAMCO BANDAI Partners by BRAINPOOL Artist & Content Services GmbH in collaboration with MM Merchandising Media, the licensing company of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group.
